Do not imagine this movie would be like the movies, starring Nicholas Cage before. While it is a scene of violence and action can not be separated, but in terms of story, this film is quite different. In the Season of the Witch (SoTW) for example, Nicholas Cage plays hero as a cool and dedicated to the common people and not indulgence in violence to the enemy though. In SoTW Cage plays very nicely as a hero who became the pride, role models, and patriot for the nation.
Although both themed superhero, but in scene after scene Angry Drive only show sadism of the main character in carrying out its mission. There is always the shooting scene, kejae-chase, explosion, fire, and murder. Not least there is always a sex scene that characterizes this film. Perhaps this is indeed a major concern of the director (Patrick Lussier) in making this a very entertaining movie. Viewers do not need to think hard to understand the plot, but the audience only a third of people who just watch and enjoy. Moreover, this film was made with 3D effect that will make all the scenes so real.
The story is about a superhero named John Milton (Nicholas Cage) who escaped from hell. How did he escape? In this film does not tell it. In short he was chasing Jonah King (Billy Burke) who becomes the main character a satanic cult, having killed her daughter, as well as kidnap his grandson. Milton business very limited time, only a few days. Because the full moon grandchildren will serve as the sacrificial by Jonah.
What makes this film the more absurd is when Milton who came from hell need a car as a means to hunt down Jonah. Though he could have soon found and killed him. Finally he chose a car "muscle car" and also get a bonus pretty grumpy girl named Piper (Amber Heard). They seemed to be an ideal partner for both hard and cruel in the face of all enemies. And another thing, Milton was also followed by an accountant from hell, which at times can take it and return it to hell. The accountant named William Fichtner.
For movie lovers who like the entertainment without having to think more jah, then this film could be used as a reference. But if you expect this film will be as interesting as another Nicholas Cage movie, it will be in vain. Let's just watch this movie, and the final assessment is in your hands.
